Dr. Chintan Kansagra is a young, respected Gastroenterologist from Rajkot with specialized skills in Diagnostic and Therapeutic GI Endoscopy and Liver Diseases (Hepatitis B & C). A brief background into his educational training brings to light Dr. Kansagra’s graduation from B J Medical College (Ahmedabad) followed by higher medical education with MD (Medicine) and DNB (Gastroenterology) qualifications accomplished from Kasturba Medical College (Manipal) and Nizam’s Inst. of Medical Sciences (Hyderabad) respectively.

Prior to his clinical practice, Dr. Kansagra tutored students of M P Shah Medical College (Jamnagar) as an Assistant Prof. of Medicine for a period of two years. Dr. Kansagra holds wide experience in various gastroenterlogical procedures. He is extremely well-versed with Upper GI Endoscopy and related procedures such as Biopsy, Tattooing, Variceal Band Ligation, Bleeding Ulcer Therapy, Peptic stricture & Achalasia dilatation, Foreign body removal, NG, NJ & PEG tube Insertion and Metallic stenting procedures. Dr. Kansagra is adept in screening tests like Colonoscopy & Sigmoidoscopy and thereby performs related procedures like Biopsy, Tattooing, Polypectomy, Haemorrhoidal sclerotherapy, Stricture Dilatation and Metallic Stenting with high efficiency and ease. He routinely performs ERCP and related procedures like Brush Biopsy, Cytology, CBD Stone Removal, CBD Stenting (plastic/metallic), NBD placement, Pseudocyst Drainage and Cysto-gastrostomy.
